Recently Miss Margaret Rose published Pictorial Irony, Parody, and Pastiche.
Margaret A. Rose is an internationally recognised author of books on the history, theory, and practice of parody. In this new study she turns her attention to the visual arts and to the use in them of forms of comic interpictoriality in the 19th and 20th centuries.
Margaret Rose also spends attention to the work of Pierre van Soest.

Is the name of the exhibition at the
Museum van Bommel van Dam in Venlo.
The Works are selected from all periods of his career and will run from the 18th January until the 5th April 2009.

   

A new publication titled Always the moving hand
will be published to coincide with the exhibition.
The book published by Kerber verlag has 192 pages, contains colour prints of many of his major works,
and contains text from Rick Vercauteren, Ed Wingen, Jacqueline Boonen and Onno van Soest.

Coinciding with the main exhibition there will also be an exhibition of his drawings at the
Bonnefanten Kunstuitleen in Venlo from the 10th January until the25th February.

Starting on the 22nd February until the 29th March 2009
there is an exhibition at the Galerie Dom'Arte in Rucphen, Holland.
